Coming soon to Fierce & Tender
Extended Post-Partum Care
Congratulations, you’ve brought new life into the world! Now the real work begins…
Everyone prepares intensely for birth. We read books, take classes, practice breathing, plan for labor. And then the baby arrives—and suddenly you're in a landscape nobody warned you about. The fourth trimester is tender and vulnerable and beautiful and overwhelming, often all at once. You deserve someone who shows up and says: I'll be here. I'll help carry this.
What Postpartum Support Looks Like
Postpartum doula care is about creating the conditions for you and your family to rest and bond in those early weeks. I come into your home for in-person visits where I offer:
Emotional support and listening for both birthing and non-birthing parents, plus any family members navigating the new normal
Infant feeding support—whether that's breastfeeding, chestfeeding, bottle feeding, or combination feeding. If you need a lactation consultant referral, I can connect you.
Newborn care education so you feel confident and less alone
Light household help: dishes, laundry, prepping meals or tidying so you can focus on rest and your baby
Postpartum mood support—I watch for signs of postpartum depression, anxiety, or OCD, and I can refer you to specialists if you need care
Support for non-birthing partners and multi-parent families, because postpartum is a transition for everyone
This is not medical care and not overnight childcare. This is presence. This is care. This is someone who believes that you matter as much as your baby does.
WHO THIS IS FOR:
Single parents and co-parenting families
Queer couples and multi-parent families
Trans and non-binary birthing parents
Families without nearby support networks
Parents having a second, third, or fourth baby who want extra support this time around
Anyone who wants a trained, affirming presence during this vulnerable transition
FAQs
-
Ideally, you'll reach out before your baby arrives so we can meet and plan. That said, I can sometimes accommodate last-minute requests depending on my schedule. I take limited clients to ensure I can show up fully for each family, so early booking helps.

A postpartum doula supports the parents and the whole family during a vulnerable transition. I'm trained in postpartum recovery, infant feeding, emotional support, and the fourth trimester. A nanny typically provides childcare for longer hours and different purposes. We can work together—many families use both—but our roles are distinct.
-
Not currently, but I can discuss what overnight support might look like as my practice develops. For now, I offer daytime and evening visits.
-
That's entirely up to you and what your family needs. Some families want intensive support in the first few weeks; others spread visits over several months. We'll talk about your needs and build a plan that works for your budget and your timeline.
-
Absolutely. Non-birthing partners are going through their own transition, and they deserve support. I work with multi-parent families, same-sex couples, and co-parenting situations. Everyone matters in the postpartum period.

Pricing details are coming soon as I finalize my training. I'm committed to making postpartum support accessible, with sliding scale options available. Reach out if you have questions about affordability.
